BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. – Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Briarcliff this week:
- After a large late-night fight in the hallway of Dolan Hall on the Fairfield University campus, three students were arrested on a variety of charges, including one from Briarcliff Manor.
- Police are searching north of Briarcliff for a suspect wanted in a shooting that occurred at a Long Island light fixture company.
- Ossining Schools Superintendent Raymond Sanchez accepted the resignation from former math teacher John Azabache. Sanchez stated that Azabache, who pled guilty to raping a 16-year-old student earlier in the month, had not been on the school's payroll since early September.
- The Somers Police Department is receiving national attention after a resident videotaped an officer removing a “Protect The 2nd Amendment” sign from his front yard.
