Briarcliff Manor, Westchester County Police Talk Down Potential Jumper

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Manor and Westchester County police were able to talk down a teen who was attempting to jump from a building around 3:20 p.m. Friday on Albany Post Road, police said.

The teen attempted the jump at 480 Albany Post Road, where the Clearview School is located.

The teen was not injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

County Police sent its Emergency Services Unit and negotiators trained to deal with people in an emotional state, said Kieran O'Leary, public information officer for Westchester County Police.
