  • The village manager and staff are currently pursuing the budget to present to the village board for adoption in April.
  • The Village Board is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, March 18 to change the zoning in the Central Business District. Currently, the zoning is only commercial. The board is seeking to change it to mixed use, allowing commercial on ground floor and residential on second and third floors. This will allow property owners to redevelop and expand uses. It will also allow affordable housing for those who would otherwise not be able to live in Briarcliff.
  • The board has previously rezoned a section of North State Road. The Village, in a partnership with a private developer, was able to build 14 affordable units, which fulfilled part of the county's obligation with the Federal Housing settlement.
