The Westchester Library System is holding a countywide Battle of the Books in the fall. The countywide event includes a children's battle for students in fourth through sixth grades and a teen battle for students in seventh to ninth grades. 

The children's battle party is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, and the teen's battle party is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, April 10. Registration is required. Residents are asked to email Amy Kaplan at abgkaplan@gmail.com or call 942-7072 to register.
