BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- The Briaircliff Manor Library will host a special series of forums starting February of next year entitled, "Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys."

The scholar-led reading and discussion program is designed for libraries seeking to provide opportunities for informed discussion in their communities about the histories, faith, and cultures of Muslims around the world and within the United States.

Dr. Fawzia Afzal-Khan, a university distinguished scholar and professor of English and director of women and gender studies at Montclair State University, N.J., will lead the discussions.

"In the Country of Men" by Hisham Matar is the topic of the first session on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Copies will be available at the library starting on Jan. 2.

The series will continue on the first Thursday of every month through June. For more information or to RSVP, email Melinda Greenblatt here or call her at 941-7072.

I read about Muslim terrorism 19 times a day in every type of media. I read about CAIR pushing Islam down my throat 19 more times a day. Can I get a freaking break here? How about a program about "moderate" Muslims condemning Muslim terror? Now that would be interesting.
