Briarcliff Library Discusses 'Muslim Journeys' Starting February

BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- The Briaircliff Manor Library will host a special series of forums starting February of next year entitled, "Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys."

The scholar-led reading and discussion program is designed for libraries seeking to provide opportunities for informed discussion in their communities about the histories, faith, and cultures of Muslims around the world and within the United States.

Dr. Fawzia Afzal-Khan, a university distinguished scholar and professor of English and director of women and gender studies at Montclair State University, N.J., will lead the discussions.

"In the Country of Men" by Hisham Matar is the topic of the first session on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Copies will be available at the library starting on Jan. 2.
