Briarcliff volunteer firefighters Nick Krebser and Vinnie Caruso were out spraypainting compressed air cylinders yesterday in order to make a better identification system for their equipment.
With the new system, instead of studying small serial numbers, firefighters will be able to look at the large spraypainted codes and know which air cylinders are ready to go and which need to be tested.
This way the cylinders can be easily serviced, Caruso said.
