Art Show: Bedford Extends Dates Following Snowstorm

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Art Show: Bedford has extended its hours for this coming week, continuing Thursday through Saturday at St. Matthew's Church Fellowship Hall in Bedford.

The show will continue Thursday and Friday, Jan. 28 and 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The winners in this juried show, with Peter MacGill judging the photography, and Mimi Thompson Rosenquist judging paintings, ceramics and mixed media, were as follows:

  • Best in Show: Kiyoshi Otsuka for "Misoure Mizuumi", which means "Sleet on the Lake" in Japanese
  • Best Painting: Caroline Walker for "Polpis Harbor Sunset"
  • Best Photography Portfolio: split between two photographers--Dale Goffigon and Jeremy Saladyga
  • Best Ceramics: Robert Hessler
  • Best Mixed Media: Geoffrey Stein, for "Observer

The church is located at 382 Cantitoe St. (Route 22), Bedford, N.Y.
