Accidents Tie Up Traffic For Evening Commuters In Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Several evening accidents caused motorists delays on Wednesday.

An accident on westbound I-287, reported at 5:40 p.m., resulted in stop-and-go traffic between Westchester Avenue (Exit 8E) in White Plains and Route 100A (Exit 4).

An accident caused the closure of Route 202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) in both directions in Cortlandt before being cleared around 6 p.m. The accident, at Route 9D and Route 6, was reported at 5:30 p.m.

Further south, an accident was reported on northbound Route 9 at Route 117.
