"Morning Joe," the MSNBC show that has come under a Twitter attack by President Donald Trump, has quite the local flavor.
South Salem's Willie Geist is one of the main anchors of the show, along with Bronxville's Mika Brzezinski. Geist anchored the show Friday and questioned Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough to get their side of the story after Trump and called them "crazy" (in Scarborough's case) and "dumb as a rock." (In Brzezinski's case).
Trump also said Brzezinski was bleeding from a facelift at a New Year's Eve party at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. Scarborough and Brzezinski were engaged in May.
Geist lives in South Salem with his wife Christina and two kids. He said he loves going to Cross River Bait and Tackle and the local hardware store. He said his kids enjoy going to Stop & Shop, according to Serendipity Social.
Geist also hosts "Sunday Today With Willie Geist."
Trump, who owns an estate in Bedford, also owns Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in Stormville and Trump National Westchester in Briarcliff Manor.
The Trump name also adorns Trump Tower At City Center in White Plains, Trump Plaza in New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences in Yorktown and the Donald J. Trump State Park on the Westchester/Putnam border.
