I am writing to support the voice of the people, Peter Tripodi, for Ossining Town Supervisor. Peter is a true reformer - something we sorely need in local government.
Peter has urged financial discipline. When all of his colleagues gave themselves raises, Peter was the only one to decline it.
Sue Donnelly has continued to shut the cameras off at Village Board meetings when the public speaks. Peter has encouraged open and transparent Town government. Even after being locked out of consolidation meetings, Peter brought the issue to the media and currently the steering committee on government consolidation conducts open meetings.
Peter has spearheaded the effort giving all Town Board members email addresses, and posting these addresses on the Town website. He has worked with the Town Supervisor to now film Town work sessions; something that was never done before. All of these actions point to someone who truly has the best interests of the people of Ossining in the forefront of his beliefs.
