Last Call For Briarcliff Manor Youth Center Engineering Program

BRIARCLIFF, N.Y.--The Briarcliff Manor Youth Center has extended the deadline to register for its "Engineering for Kids" programs to 4 p.m. on Monday. 

The "Junior Engineer Explorers" is for children ages 4-6 years old and will be offered in morning (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) and afternoon (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) sessions. The program introduces the basic concepts of engineering from a variety of engineering fields.

There are two different camps for children ages 7-14 years old. The first, "Momentum Madness," will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees work with their Pit Crew to design and build vehicles, such as dragsters and hovering levitrons, which should able to withstand astonishing speeds.

The  afternoon session will have have attendees working to design their own video game.

Cost of attendance is $270 for half day sessions for village residents and $300 for non-residents. 

Full day sessions will cost $420 for residents and $450 for non-residents.
