Kuch, Ex-Briarcliff Manor Civil Engineer, Dies

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. - Joseph V. Kuch, a former resident of Briarcliff Manor, died Feb. 1. He would have turned 75 on Valentine's Day.

Kuch was a licensed professional civil engineer and worked in the tri-state area and Puerto Rico.

He was born February 14, 1937 in Bridgehampton, N.Y. to Vincent and Agnes Kuch. In 1959, he graduated from Clarkson College with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. After graduation, Kuch served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He then earned a master's in business administration from City College of New York in 1966.

A resident of Briarcliff Manor for over 40 years, he retired to Beach Haven, N.J., where his family surrounded him during his final days.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Dolores Pisano, his daughters Stacey and Dolores (Ken) and two grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Queen of the Most Holy Church in Bridgehampton, followed by burial of cremains at Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Cemetery in Southhampton, N.Y. Another memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Brant Beach, N.J. Funeral arrangements were made by O'Connell Funeral Home and Maxwell Funeral Home.
