The firm works with students one-on-one to teach them the legal process from start to finish in the areas of construction, litigation, liquor licensing and general business law.

The students, from various local universities, shadow the team at Jeffrey K. Davis and get a firsthand look at counsel in a variety of matters. As founder and lead counsel, Davis utilizes his real-world experiences gathered from working with both Fortune 500 companies and closely held businesses to offer a practical approach to legal solutions. The firm, which caters to startups, emerging and growing businesses in the tristate area, services a wide range of industries but specializes in construction and the food and hospitality sector.

The firm was voted “Law Firm of the Year” in 2011 for growing businesses by Citibank.

“We genuinely care about each client above and beyond their legal needs and make sure to follow up on their successes and struggles so we can identify opportunities and connections to further assist them. This personal approach is what we instill in our interns and what distinguishes our firm from the rest,” said Davis.

In addition to the internship program at his offices, Davis offers pro bono educational workshops throughout Westchester County on the topics of contract management and debt collection, forming a business in 10 steps, business partnerships and joint ventures, business protection and planning. Davis has led his informational workshops at companies such as Turner Construction and The Port Authority, and will be working with the Westchester Business Council and SCORE Westchester to bring his expertise to their members.
