BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. For about three hours during Saturday's Harvest in the Village, Eric Lebenson said, downtown Briarcliff Manor was wall-to-wall people.
It was a tremendous success, the festival chair said.
The sunny weather brought out a huge crowd to downtown Briarcliff Manor on Saturday as the Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce hosted the fourth annual Harvest in the Village. Lebenson said the music, food and children's activities attracted several hundred area residents from outside Briarcliff Manor.
Kids lined up for pony rides and the petting zoo, while parents enjoyed special sales and offers at stores and restaurants along Pleasantville Road. The face-painting station outside William Raveis Realty was a hit with people lining up along the street, Lebenson said. The Chamber of Commerce gave away 200 bags of Halloween candy throughout the day.
The community event is designed to build relationships between downtown businesses and residents.
It's about coming together as a community, Lebenson said.
