BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Due to the growing number of complaints received by the Police Department about unleashed dogs running at large, the village has issued a reminder to residents to keep their pets leashed.
According to the village manager’s report, this has been occurring particularly in the area behind the Youth Center and in Law Park. Residents were reminded that dogs are to be leashed at all times on village property whether in Law Park, around the Youth Center or other village facilities.
The Police Department has been directed to pay special attention to the problem and tickets will be issued for violations. The reminder also included a note for residents to make sure to pick up after their dogs.
