BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Not many 8-year-olds can say they sat in one of the chairs on the TV show, "The Voice."

But for 8-year-old Drew Packer, who got to spend the day with his father, Steven at WNBC/NY in Manhattan it was all part of a day's work.

The two Briarcliff Manor residents participated in "Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day" April 23 and the elder Packer said Drew had a blast. "He wrote and filmed a recycling PSA, reported breaking news as a news anchor, created and put on a puppet show, wrote a letter to a child in The Children's Hospital, and got to turn his chair on The Voice!" (A chair was installed in the Saturday Night Live studios.)

The Day is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday in April. This year, the theme was #MPOWR which stands for "Knowledge + Choice = Strength."
