Planned Large Crowd Prompts Change In Pound Ridge Fireworks Celebration

Due to an expected large crowd at Pound RIdge's June 30 fireworks display, the town will limit the number of non-resident parking passes to 180 this year.

Passes will be issued on a first-come first-served basis at the Pound Ridge Townhouse located at 179 Westchester Ave  in Pound Ridge and will not be available after June 27 at 4:30 p.m.

"Please plan accordingly as non-residents that are not accompanying residents will not be permitted to park in any locations designated for parking for this event," town officials said in a news statement.

There is no roadside or off-road parking permitted in Pound Ridge and illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and removed at each owner's expense. Parking for all residents of Pound Ridge will be available at the Pound Ridge Elementary School starting at 4 p.m. on June 30.

All residents will be required to show proof of residency and may pick up their resident pass at the Pound Ridge Town House any weekday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Resident passes also will be available the day of the fireworks at the Pound Ridge Police Department between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
