BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Gullotta House, a local non-profit that helps those with financial or other hardships, will be able to help a little more as the recent winner of $2,000 from Tompkins Mahopac Bank.

The organization won the money as part of the bank's second Community Minute Challenge. Through the social media contest, the public voted for select not-for-profits in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester Counties.

A third winner will be recognized in an October challenge, for a total of $6,000 in awarded funds.

Gullotta House helps residents of Westchester County who face financial or other hardships by providing food vouchers, scholarships to aid with the payment for education, outings and community entertainment events, holiday assistance and by aiding community organizations and programs by providing additional assistance to their clients and participants.
