Friday, Sept. 7

Computer Help: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free drop-in help with computers. Residents can learn how to navigate web pages and create documents in Microsoft programs. For more information, contact Cheryl at (914) 2416, Ext. 315. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Games at the Ossining Library: 3:30 to 5 p.m. Video and board games in the Budarz Theater. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Briarcliff Library Book Sale: Noon to 8 p.m. The Briarcliff Manor Public Library is hosting a book sale through the weekend. The sale is set to be the library’s largest in its history. For more information, residents are asked to call 914-941-7072. 1 Library Road, Briarcliff Manor.

Saturday, Sept. 8

Briarcliff Library Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Briarcliff Manor Public Library is hosting a book sale through the weekend. The sale is set to be the library’s largest in its history. For more information, residents are asked to call 914-941-7072. 1 Library Road, Briarcliff Manor.

Briarcliff Manor Community Day: 2 to 10 p.m. Briarcliff Manor’s Community Day begins at 2 p.m. in Law Memorial Park with the last swim at the Briarcliff Pool. Events continue throughout the day with fireworks and a comedy show in the evening. Law Memorial Park, 1 Library Road, Briarcliff Manor.

Ossining MATTERS 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser: 9 a.m. The 10th annual 5K Run/Walk is hosted by the Ossining MATTERS Education Foundation. The race steps off from the Old Croton Aqueduct at 9 a.m.

The Ossining Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Ossining Farmers Market is set to open for the 21st season at 8:30 a.m. Saturday on the corner of Spring and Main streets in Ossining. The Farmers Market runs every Saturday through Dec. 15. Market Square, Market and Spring streets. 

Artist Opening Reception: 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the artist opening reception for photographer Mark Friedman.  Light refreshments will be available.  Located in the hallway to theater on lower level. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Waterfront Spray Park Open: Noon to 6 p.m. The Waterfront Spray Park at Louis Engel Waterfront Park is open from noon to 6 p.m. through the summer. Louis Engel Waterfront Park, Ossining.

Sculptural Wire Bookmarks Workshop: 3 p.m. A workshop with Jamie Ross at the Ossining Public Library. Pre-registration is required for this workshop for up to 20 people.  Please register by calling the library at 914-941-2416 ext. 327.  This course is given by artist Jamie Ross. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.
