Friday, Oct. 12

Computer Help: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free drop-in help with computers. Residents can learn how to navigate web pages and create documents in Microsoft programs. For more information, contact Cheryl at (914) 2416, Ext. 315. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Senior Cooking Class: 10 a.m. to Noon. "The Chemistry of Food and Cooking," a Westchester Community College Mainstream course for senior citizens. The class will be taught by Dr. Sandra Flank of Westchester Community College. Contact Kathy Asaro or Debbie Klein, 941-7198, to sign up. Though the class is free, registration is necessary. Briarcliff Library Story Time For Tots: 4 p.m. Every Friday through Nov. 16, the Briarcliff Manor Public Library will host a story time for children from 2 to 4 years old. Briarcliff Manor Public Library, 1 Library Road.

Saturday, Oct. 13

Exercise Class at All Saints: 8:30 a.m. The Briarcliff Manor church hosts an exercise class on Saturdays. The class is free. All Saints Episcopal Church, 201 Scarborough Road, Briarcliff Manor.

The Ossining Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Farmers Market runs every Saturday through Dec. 15. Market Square, Market and Spring streets. 

The Digital Darkroom: 1 to 3 p.m. Photographer Mark R Friedman presents a technical overview of what to do with your digital picture. The class starts at 1 p.m. in the second floor conference room of the Ossining Public Library. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.

Annual Harvest In The Village Festival: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Harvest In The Village Festival takes place in downtown Briarcliff Manor. Rain date will be Sunday, Oct. 14.

Teatown Reservation presents Poopendous: 11 a.m. to noon. Author Artie Bennett will read his book, Poopendous, which follows the adventures of Professor Poopdeck on his wild discovery of poo-tacular proportions. Teatown Lake Reservation.

Sunday, Oct. 14

One Woman Show At Mariandale: 11:30 a.m. seating. Mariandale Retreat and Conference Center hosts a lunch and matinee. Sister Nancy Murray will perform a one-woman show, “Catherine of Siena, A Woman for Our Times.” The price for lunch and the show is $35 a ticket. Teatown Reservation Presents Compass Relay: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Bring the family and play a game that will teach basic compass skills in a fun and enjoyable way. Ossining’s Annual Crop Walk: 3 p.m. Sponsored by the Briarcliff Ossining Ministerial Association, this walk helps fight poverty and hunger hear and far. Joseph Caputo Community Center, Ossining.
