BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- The SPCA of Westchester and Homeward Bound Rescue recently teamed up to help save 50 puppies and dogs from being euthanized.
As a result, the SPCA will host an adoption extravaganza on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
In several Southern states, overcrowded shelters and low spay and neuter rates have resulted in the deaths of perfectly healthy young animals. Over 5 million animals are euthanized each year, the SPCA said.
The SPCA of Westchester is at 590 N. State Road in Briarcliff.
