"Seed" was created by filmmakers Taggart Siegel and Jon Betz. It follows passionate seed keepers who hope to protect mankind's 10,000 year old food legacy after seeing 94 percent of seed varieties disappear in the last century.
The film won the Discovery Channel Environmental Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest in England, Grand Jury Prize at the Nashville Film Festival, Best in Festival at the Princeton Environmental Film Festival, and the Green Planet Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
"Seed" completes a trilogy of films that uncovers the invisible connections between our food and the natural world. Siegel and Betz also created: "Queen of the Sun: What are Bees Telling Us?" and "The Real Dirt on Farmer John."
