BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Theologian Howard Thurman's book "Jesus and the Disinherited," will be the topic of discussion at the next meeting of the Rivertowns Episcopal Parishes/Action on Inclusion and Race (REPAIR) community group.
The meeting, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21, will be at Briarcliff Manor’s All Saints’ Church Parish Hall. Attendees are encouraged to read at least one chapter of the book in advance and be prepared to discuss insights, images, or observations that struck them.
Also on the agenda is a presentation by members of Neighbors Link about their work with immigrants in northern Westchester County. In addition, participants will share news about projects and programs to foster racial justice and infusion in our churches and communities. We are focused on the Westchester/Rivertowns for now but will be working with Westchester County agencies and representatives.
The church is at 201 Scarborough Road at Old Briarcliff Road, Briarcliff Manor. For more information call 914-941-6955.
