The run/walk is set for Sunday, May 17, starting at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center with check-in scheduled from 7:45-8:45 a.m. and the race beginning at 9 a.m.

All proceeds go to the Clear View School and Day Treatment Center.

“Though the 5K benefits the kids of Clear View, it is really a community event,” says Priscilla White, development coordinator for the school.

Along those lines, a fun run for kids younger than 10 and other entertainment are planned.

“It’s a great day to come together as a community and celebrate our kids and their families,” White adds. “It really does take a village to help our children. We’re so grateful that our sponsors and participants understand that.”
