The crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. on Englewood Avenue near Elmore Avenue, Police Chief Lawrence Suffern said.

The bus was stopping to pick up passengers when it was rear-ended when a car behind it hit an icy patch and skidded into it, he said.

All of the youngsters were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center as a precaution, the chief said.

“There were no specific injuries reported at that time.  There are no summonses to be issued,” said Suffern, who didn’t know which school was involved.
