On Saturday, Dec. 10, Desires by Mikolay will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales that day to the SPCA of Westchester.

Owner Tara Mikolay has two rescue dogs and is passionate about animal rights and welfare.

To date, the jewelry business has given over $40,000 to the SPCA of Westchester, said a news release.

"Our impact must be greater than our entrepreneurship. Each step for Desires by Mikolay is also an opportunity to give back to our world, raise awareness about critical issues, and alleviate suffering," said Mikolay.

A select group of "Gifts that Give Back," from which all the proceeds will go to the animal shelter, will be available for purchase.

The event will include complimentary craft cocktails, small bites and a swag bag for dogs, which are welcome.

The shopping event will be from 4-8 p.m. at Desires by Mikolay, 55 King St., Chappaqua.
