Congregation Sons Of Israel Hosts Soup In A Jar For Ossining Food Pantry

OSSINING, N.Y, -- Congregation Sons of Israel will host Soup in a Jar to benefit Ossining Food Pantry on Sunday, May 15.

Congregation Sons of Israel volunteers will scoop beans, spices and other soup ingredients into mason jars.

Volunteers will scoop beans, spices and other ingredients into mason jars, which will be given to Ossining Food Pantry. 

The contents of the mason jars can be later mixed with a can of tomatoes and water to create a healthy, homemade pot of soup.

The Soup in a Jar project is a joint program between UJA-Federation of New York's Engage Jewish Service Corps and Congregation Sons of Israel. 

Soup in a Jar begins at 11 a.m. 

Congregation Sons of Israel is located at 1666 Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor.
