The show is a retelling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale "The Ugly Duckling." The musical is set for performances throughout the weekend with shows at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $10 each but some are still available for the family show at showtix4u.com

The show's Musical Director Regina Leon said she expects people to be surprised and delighted with the show this weekend.

"Working with these 30 some-odd Briarcliff middle schoolers has been an amazing experience," Leon said in an email. "They are so smart and eager and have made a stunning transformation from middle school pre-teens to fearless singing and dancing  actors in record time. Each and every one of them has as much heart as the storyline of Honk itself. I look forward to this weekend when I can see them all shine onstage and tell, sing and dance to the beautiful story of Honk."
