Met with enthusiasm by both the village residents and participating businesses, the evenings will feature live music, demos, special menus and promotions all encouraging the public to, "stroll, shop and dine" in the community of Briarcliff Manor on Pleasantville Road.
These evenings are part of the chamber's efforts to create a vibrant business district in the village and to give local retailers, businesses and restaurants the opportunity to interact with the community in a different way than they normally do.
Held on the first Thursday of every month (excluding the summer months) businesses and retailers will stay open until 8 p.m. Each night will have a different theme and local businesses and restaurants will use their talents and creativity to find their own way to celebrate the theme. As in previous years, offerings will include theme-related menus, discounts, demos, food tastings, gifts with purchase and more.
The schedule for First Thursday Night Lights 2015 is as follows:
May 7: Cinco de Mayo Chili Cook Off
June 4: Briarcliff Manor Pet Parade
Sept. 10: Boutique Fashion Show
The $40 registration fee will cover all three events.
Non-chamber members can join for a fee of $80 for all three events. The fee Includes a banner to be hung in town, a poster for a store window, e-mail blasts by the Briarcliff Chamber of Commerce, press releases, a flag to be hung outside of the business and music.
