SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. Six Westchester residents recently were elected to the board of directors at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
Sleepy Hollow resident Rebecca Srole, Irvington resident Diane Potter, Ossining resident Christy Joyce, Chappaqua resident Kenneth Miller and Briarcliff Manor residents Richard Peress and Louis Wachtel will serve three-year terms on the board. Board members may serve up to nine years.
Srole works for Chase Healthcare Banking as a senior vice president, where she specializes in providing financial services to nonprofit and health care organizations. She graduated from Brandeis University with a bachelor's degree and earned an M.B.A. and M.P.H. From Columbia University.
Potter works for the Bonnier Corporation, a consumer publishing group, as a consumer marketing director for magazines such as Working Mother , Ski , and American Photo . Potter earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Joyce works at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center as a senior attending physician in internal medicine. Joyce is a member of the American College of Physicians, the New York State Society of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association.
Miller works for the New York City law firm of Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston and Rosen, P.C. representing banks, commercial finance companies and lenders. He graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree and Cornell Law School with a law degree.
Peress works at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center as the Director of the Department of Surgery. He studied medicine at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is a specialist in spinal surgery.
Wachtel works as the CEO and founder of Spectrum Realty Capital, a Tarrytown-based retail real estate, consulting and private equity capital firm. Wachtel is a founding member of the United States Holocaust Museum and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.
